Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right GP?

All of our GPs are compassionate and capable, there's no wrong answer.

‍

That being said, picking the right GP for you depends on a few factors.

‍

You might want a GP that speaks another language, or one that has experience in a particular field, like women's health, or skin health.

You may familiarise yourself with our GPs by reading their bios before making a decision. Some GPs have more availability than others.

Are allied health appointments booked separately?

GP and allied health appointments are booked the same way, but they are separate appointments. If you want to see your GP and an allied health practitioner, you'll need two unique appointments.

What should I bring?

Bring your Medicare card, any current medications, and relevant test results. This helps your practitioner review relevant information during your appointment.

What does GP-led connected care mean at iHealth Centre?

GP-led care is the healthcare system we believe in here at iHealth. It means that your general practitioner is at the centre of your care, where it all begins.

Start by seeing your GP. They will assess your needs, provide clear next steps, and may refer you to any of our in-house practitioners if helpful, so your care can consider the whole picture, not just your symptoms.

Is iHealth a bulk billing clinic?

We are not a bulk-billing clinic. The fee tables on our Fees page set out our current charges and indicative rebates; reception can help you check the likely cost of your appointment.

Do I get Medicare rebates?

Most GP consultations and allied health services (with a GP Plan) are eligible for Medicare rebates. If you bring a physical debit card we may be able to return your Medicare rebate instantly at the time of payment or send it to Medicare for overnight processing.

Still have questions?

Our team is ready to help with anything else.
